INTRODUCTION
During my time in a student work group backed by the Terre des hommes foundation, I led the design efforts for a prototype aimed at creating a social justice awareness game targeted towards at-risk youth.
MY ROLE
Narrative Design
Creating the entire 'arborescence' of the story - the branching paths and decisions that could lead to completely different story outcomes, while balancing between entertaining and serious/educative outcomes ensuring relatability through dialogue and flavor text.
Prototyping
Translating narrative and mechanic goals into a simple point and click interface that could work on web browsers on any device. Strong focus on freedom both within environment and dialogue choices alongside 'juicy' player feedback so as to keep young kids interested in the sometimes dry and somber content.
